I'm engaged in purchasing a 346. Something in my surveyors report has made me wonder if the Thorneycroft T80 has an engine anode. If so, where is it and what size or type is it? I can't find mention of it anywhere but I know from previous experience that these can get forgotten about.

No, the T80 does not have an anode.
In my opinion if a surveyor thought there as one I might be tempted to question his knowledge of Moodys and T80 engines.

Thanks Jeff, I'm relieved to know this. The surveyor did not say there was an anode and he did not mention it. It was something else he was saying that made me start thinking along this line. But I'm clear on this now.

    David,
    Good luck with your purchase.
I've had my M346 for 13 years so know most about the boat. So if you need help or advise I and many other owners are here to help.
Perhaps you can make your membership full upon completion of your purchase.
