Galaxia is an Angus Primrose designed Moody 33 Mk2, built in 1980 by Marine Products (Plymouth) Ltd. She is complete with an aluminium sloop rig made by Proctor mast and a boom by Z-spars. Nice condition with Channon slab reefing mainsail,Channon roller furling genoa, cruising chute and spare sails.
Inventory includes chart plotter, autohelm, VHF radio, solar panel, Raymarine wind indicator, echo sounder and New 6 person Seago Liferaft bought and fitted with 12 year warranty
She has a refurbished Leyland Thornycroft 35HP inboard diesel engine. She has 6 berths in 3 cabins, a good-sized centre cockpit, saloon area with fold out table, fully equipped kitchen and a separate heads with Lavac toilet, vanity sink and mirror and with hot and cold running water. Many lockers and a hanging locker give plenty of space for storage. She has curtains and cushions in great condition including new upholstery of bow and aft cabins.
Recent upgrades include new cutlass bearing and propeller fitted, new larger sprayhood fitted in 2020; new headsail furler winch fitted in 2021 and in 2022 gearbox fully reconditioned and re-fitted new exhaust elbow fitted and rubber exhaust, refurbished starter motor fitted.
Lifted and antifouled August 2022; last surveyed May 2021
In 2023 full engine service completed and engine refitted with new injectors, glow plugs, new water pump drive belt, new lift pump, bulkhead filter and oil filter and new impeller, new 6 foot throttle and 8 foot gear cables fitted, battery master switch and electric cables replaced
