Good evening to all,
I am looking at buying a Moody in the next few months, I am planning to be doing a fair bit of sailing, firstly in the Med then across to the Caribbean for a while then on to the Pacific ending in Australia from where I will decide to come back or not ... : )
I have a limited budget so I been looking at the Moody Eclipse 43 for comfort in colder / wetter moments but am also interested in the 38 42 & 44.
I would be happy to hear from people and their suggestions , there will be times when I will be sailing shorthanded so that is also a concern.
Another issue that I would be interested in is what to look out for as potential problems in looking at boats of that age late 80's to very early 2000's, I hear that some have had keel bolt issues, chainplate issues, leaks & rotting ply bulkheads.
I will appreciate any help or suggestions you might have as well as any tips on a good boat on the market.
