Changed circumstances thwarted plans to move Polibre from the secure compound at Stranraer marina to a new berth, so she is now available. I have priced her for a private sale. Minor repairs need to be done to her lazy jack lines, and her sail cover, deck and hood need a good clean, but otherwise she is ready to be put back in the water or transported elsewhere by road.

Standing rigging replaced late 2022. Insurance survey April 2024. New cutlass bearing & main batteries. Well proportioned cabins with 5/6 berths, Hyde sails to a good spec, and relatively lightly used, Goacher stack pack with lazy lines (port line needs replacing). Lewmar 40s winches, sprayhood, GPS/log/depth electronics, Radar, Radar reflector, Volvo 2003 diesel, Volvo dripless seal 2016 (serviced 2024), ST4000 autohelm, comfortable cockpit, Erberspacher diesel air heating, electric fridge and useful extras such as a (little used) cruising chute and full cockpit canopy. The previous owner reported that she was the 1987 London boat show model, so has extras such as an opening hatch in the saloon and teak grating in the cockpit.

She has been relatively little used in the last 15 years, sailing the irish Sea from Barrow in Furness with the previous owner, and ashore each winter. Since I bought her in 2018 she spent time on a drying mooring at Barrow before an extended Covid lockdown ashore at Glasson Dock and, from July 2021 was moored on a pontoon berth at Stranraer marina. From where we sailed the Clyde as far as Tarbert, Holy Loch, Campbletown and Arran. She was brought ashore in October 2023 and is in the secure yard at Stranraer marina. If you buy Polibre you'll need to take over the yard fees etc.Marina staff are equipped to move and lift her back into the water, or to assist with loading for transport elsewhere.
