Hi everyone, I will be buying a boat over the next year or so for extended cruising (extended meaning long duration, not necessarily thousands of miles). Having done a few deliveries, chartering and run a few courses as cruising instructor, I have formed some idea of what, in my own mind, constitutes solid build quality, sea-kindly hull shape and good comfort levels at anchor (e.g. island bed in spacious owner’s cabin). It looks like older Moodys within my budget have these characteristics, but I have never had the opportunity to sail on a Moody.
Does anyone know of a company that has a Moody or two in its fleet (preferably 38’-44’)? I’d really like to experience first-hand how it feels to be responsible for the boat for a week or so.
Any advice, tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated! - either on forum or direct message.
