Hi Ray,

The bad news is, you are in Scotland, I'm in Portsmouth, good news, I have a TMP gear box, but they are F'ing heavy.
I got it as a spare for my M33 MkII. The boat was sold earlier this year, so don't need it now.

It's Type number is - 17A / 57 / 4353 - 17 = Mk11 Box. Right hand engine rotation, A = Direct Drive ( 1:1 ) (Lefthand Prop)

Could you take a picture of the box in particular where the coolent pipes enter the gearbox.
I am going to boat tomorrow and will check serial numbers. However I am sure it is the same.
Could you advise what you might be looking for regards cost of box if suitable.
Really appreciate you getting back to me , as I thought I had no chance.

Thanks

On boat and checked appears to be the same.
Please see picture. If you could send picture of your box that would be. Great.

Thanks

Hi Ray,

Pictures coming tomorrow.

Just some more info ...

Your box model number prefix 19 is a Mark IV, my spare box prefix is 17 which is a Mark !!
If you looked at the links to Thamesway Marine Products the site tells you the difference.
This is primarily the output shaft oil seal housing, part 3.47 on the parts list,
My spare gearbox has been sitting in my store since 2009, when I bought it second hand.
I would strongly recommend that in any eventuality you get it checked out by Thamesway Marine.

The usual problem with these gearboxes is that the water jacket cover (3.21) suffers from galvanic corrosion,
due to the water in / out connections and the output pipe (via the oil cooler) to the raw water pump.
On my previous M33 MkII I changed the water in / out connectors to composite fittings (True Designs),
and used rubber coolant hose to the oil cooler.

Hope this is useful,

David
