Moody 34 (1985) Fin keel Sailing Yacht. Thorneycroft 35hp diesel engine. Rebuilt by Key Diesels in 2021 at a cost of over £3K. Slab reefed Crusader mainsail (2020) with stack pack (2020)/ lazy jacks, furling Crusader genoa (2020), cruising chute/ pole and a storm jib. Six berths in two cabins and saloon. Webasto heating (2021). Lewmar electric anchor windlass (2021). Raymarine SL72 Pathfinder Radar. B & G Vulcan GPS chart plotter (2021). Digital Yacht AIT2000 AIS (2021). Raymarine ST60+ speed and depth and wind instruments (2021). Raymarine Tridata repeater. Standard Horizon DSC VHF radio (remote mic- 2021). Raymarine linear drive autopilot (2021). ENGINE:
Thorneycroft 35hp diesel engine, shaft drive to a three blade propellor (rope cutter fitted). £3,200 engine rebuild by Key diesels (2022). Hurth gearbox (2022). PSS shaft seal (2023). Twin Vetus primary fuel filters. Electronic fuel gauge. Silicon 2x 12v batteries, alternator charged. 160W Solar panels. Rutland wind generator. Shorepower connected with 240v cabin sockets and Victron battery charger (2021).
SAILS AND SPARS:
Aluminium mast and boom. Slab reefed Crusader mainsail (2020) with stack pack (2020)/ lazy jacks, furling Crusader genoa (2020), cruising chute/ pole and a storm jib. Sails currently with Crusader for cleaning. Self tailing genoa sheet winches.
CABIN DETAILS:
The cabins are warmed by a Webasto diesel heating system. The private forecabin has a double ‘v’ berth and a hanging locker. The saloon has two reclining chairs to port and a central saloon dining table with seating/ berths to starboard. The Saloon has an Akai smart TV (2024) with Glomex digital antenna and a Sony music system. There is also a WiFi router system with external antenna. The heads compartment is aft of the saloon and to port and has a marine toilet (2022) and wash hand basin with hot/ cold water. The galley is aft and to starboard, it is well equipped with:- a Voyager 4500 two burner cooker with oven and grill (2023), a sink (with hot/cold pressurised water supply with Topargee water level monitor), a Dometic fridge (2022) and storage lockers. There is a full sized chart table at the Navigation station to port aft of the saloon. The passage to the private aft double berth cabin with hanging locker is behind the galley.
DECK EQUIPMENT:
Anchor with chain. Lewmar electric anchor windlass (2021). Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and guard wires. Spray dodgers (2023). Sprayhood. Rear bathing platform with integral boarding ladder. New forecabin, saloon and aft cabin deck hatches (2021). Teak cockpit grating. Warps and fenders. Fender baskets.

Steering compass. Raymarine SL72 Pathfinder Radar. B & G Vulcan GPS chart plotter (2021). Digital Yacht AIT2000 AIS (2021). Raymarine ST60+ speed and depth and wind instruments (2021). Hi Paul
I gather by now you will have sold the Moody 34, but hopefully you will still receive these messages from the MOA.
I recently bought the same boat and I am planning to update my medieval autohelm with the one you had; a Raymarine Linear drive system.
I don't suppose you have a picture of the drive unit installation so I can see how to position it? I know it generates huge forces and needs to be bolted to something solid near the rudder quadrant.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but thank you in advance if you can help.
