I am selling my Moody 422 that has had extensive upgrade work cone by the marine technicians in Stratford Connecticut USA. The 422 is presently on the hard in the yard and has been in the USA throughout its sailing life along the Eastern coast sailing area Marthas Vinyeard etc.

Hi Tom, our Moody 422 with EU VAT paid, new engine Yanmar 56 HP, complete Raymarine instrument refit in 2024 and 27kg Ultra anchore, 60m chain totalling £20k. We are finalising the information pack this week and happy to forward if your are interested.

Our prvately owned 1989 build Moody 425 is based in Port Addaya, Menorca and is EU VAT paid. She is comprehensively advertised on ApolloDuck ref # 817705, reduced to £50,00 ono.
We are selling our floating home because, after 19years of ownership, in our 80th year, we recognise that we are not upto the demands of owning and sailing her.
Since buying her from the original owners in 2007, we have uprated and improved the standard Moody specifications:
Original under-designed gearbox upgraded to PRM 12112-6 (2014), Johnson 4b raw waterpump upgraded to Jabsco big bearing unit (2022) , new propshaft with thrust bearing and universal coupling (2023), uprated damperplate (2023), rope-cutter, new cutlass-bearing (2025), PSS main gland (2018), double alternators with uprated poly-belt drives (2023), winch upgraded to Lofrans Tigress remote and pendant two way (2014), anchor upgraded to Rocna 35kg with 75m galvanised chain (2014), Sidepower bowthruster (2014), chartplotter upgraded to Raymarine Axiom 12" digital with Lighthouse software (2021), radio and AIS (2023), Highfield Classic RIB (2022), Spirit electric o/b (2022), 8hp fast Mercury o/b, davits, solar panels and hybrid LiFePo4/AGM electrics c/w double 240v chargers. New full-length boom tent. Winter-cover being brought back to spec now (May 2026), hull professionally re-Coppercoating applied (2026).
Blithe Spirit is currently on the hard and scheduled for lift-in May 27th and subsequent lift-out June June 27th.
